THE DUBAI CHAMBER CSR LABEL

Helping your organization along the CSR journey.

As Dubai consumers and companies evolve and mature in their understanding and practice of CSR, a simple tool is needed to communicate that a company is committed to operating responsibility. The Dubai Chamber CSR label has been developed by the Dubai Chamber to bring together international best practice in CSR and the local context of Dubai together. The Dubai Chamber CSR label will help companies in three ways by providing:

A clear voluntary standard for CSR implementation in Dubai and other Emirates of the UAE

Independent review, evaluation and feedback of a companies CSR strategy and actions

The ability to communicate better with consumers and business partners their CSR commitment and practice.

The label will also fill the need for recognition in the marketplace of company CSR initiatives in order to increase reputation and market presence. The CSR Label is the first voluntary standard on CSR tailored to the Middle East, specifically Dubai, UAE. As such, it aims to contribute towards building a more responsible and sustainable Dubai business community.

The Dubai Chamber CSR label is developed with the guidance and assurance of Corporate Citizenship, UK, a reputable long-established CSR consultancy. And will be launched in autumn 2009.

If you are interested in improving your companies CSR implementation, measuring your CSR initiatives to-date and building a better relationship with your customers and business partners, register your interest at responsiblebusiness@dubaichamber.ae. We will contact you with full information about the launch.
