Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Business Award – CSR Category

In 2008, the CRB developed the criteria and scoring for the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum (MRM) Corporate Social Responsibility Award, a new category of the well established MRM Business Awards.  CRB also worked with independent CSR Experts to review the shortlisted companies and feedback their professional evaluation of these companies to the panel of judges.

 

The MRM CSR Award category is unique among CSR Awards in the UAE because the criteria are fully embedded in the Business High Performance Model of the MRM Business Award and apply to all applicants in any of the Award categories.  Therefore, all companies applying for any MRM Business Award in Manufacturing, Finance Re-Export, Construction, Real Estate, or Supply Chain & Logistics will evaluate their CSR activities as part of their applications. 

 

The MRM CSR Award category raises awareness of CSR in the UAE and recognizes top performers.  It is For the firm judged to be outstanding in implementing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives in four key areas: Workplace, Marketplace, Community and the Environment.

 

The new MRM CSR Award celebrates and shares best practice examples of responsible Dubai businesses. The MRM CSR Awards winners will be selected from the applicants of MRM Award categories. The Dubai Chamber introduced the MRM CSR Award because CSR is an essential strategy that can help businesses become more competitive both locally and abroad.

 

It can benefit companies by enhancing reputation, reducing risks, reducing costs, and building stronger relationships with stakeholders. CSR helps to enhance the integrity of the local market, and to promote the sustainability of Dubai’s flourishing business community.
