ENGAGE DUBAI

What is ENGAGE Dubai?

ENGAGE Dubai is an employee volunteering program run by the Dubai Chamber Centre for Responsible Business (CRB) for Dubai Chamber member companies.   The Dubai Chamber’s goal is to facilitate business’ role in the sustainable development of Dubai, United Arab Emirates.  Businesses in Dubai have a long legacy of working with community partners.  Employer-sponsored community volunteering activities are a growing and effective trend for businesses to increase the impact of their non-financial contributions to society and gain business benefits.

CRB launched ENGAGE Dubai in November 2008 to:

Stimulate corporate involvement in community development through employee volunteering
Facilitate the match-making between companies and community partners (NGOs, non-profits, intermediaries such as schools, higher education institutions, business incubators);

ENGAGE Dubai is part of an international network of businesses and community organizations that collaborate to support the development of healthy and sustainable communities through increasing the quality and quantity of employee involvement in their local communities.   The international ENGAGE program operates in Dubai, as well as in other major cities   including Paris, Frankfurt, Istanbul, and Hong Kong.  ENGAGE Dubai is run by the Dubai Chamber CRB, supported by the ENGAGE Secretariat of Business in the Community in the United Kingdom (BITC).  BITC “mobilizes business for good.”  With more than 850 companies in membership, BITC represents 1 in 5 of the UK private sector workforce and convenes a network of global partners.
